Born in 1985, Adam Weir was raised adjacent to the ocean and waterways of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. There he received his Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Salisbury University in 2007. From there he went on to Baltimore to earn his Master’s of Fine Art in 2010 at Towson University. Within his paintings Weir explores the ideas of displacement and consumption, along with the complex interactions between people, spaces, and objects. Cues taken from surrounding environments, strange everyday occurrences, and personal transitions provide the foremost sources of inspiration for the work. His work has been exhibited nationally. In the past Adam has taught Drawing and Design at Salisbury University. As well as painting Adam is currently pursuing his career in the tattoo arts. He continues to live and work on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
